John Hawkins left management consulting and packaged goods marketing 20 years ago to join the wine industry as manager of Demptos Cooperage. Since then, he has acted as a senior sales and marketing executive for Rutherford Hill, The Racke Group (Buena Vista, Louis Martini, Clos Pegase, Robert Stemmler and Haywood), Parducci and the Hill & Mayes brands, among others. As a strategic advisor, he has consulted with Merryvale, Zaca Mesa, Delicato, Foley and LinnCourt, Beringer, Robert Mondavi, Sutter Home, Gallo, Mumm, Fetzer and Brown Forman. He is a member of the rock band Private Reserve, with Mike Martini, Ed Sbragia, George Bursick and Steve Buehl. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Princeton University and an MBA in Marketing from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Born in England, Tony Cartlidge came to the United States in 1971 and founded the Cartlidge & Browne winery in 1980. Today, the winery is based in American Canyon and is consistently rated by Robert Parker as one of the best value wine brands in the world.

He built and managed property in Aspen, Colorado for a decade in the 1970s and then returned to the Bay Area where he was a developer, a property work-out specialist for financial institutions and an executive with an income property investment company. Rick is a sought after advisor to numerous real estate companies, investors and financial institutions and is often appears as an expert witness in complicated real estate cases. Rick holds Civil Engineering degrees from Brown and Stanford Universities and also has an MBA in Finance from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
